G'day mate, I have been here with the Koalas and Kangaroos since January 2020 when I sat down to pen my story. Nine months later and my book was published September 2020. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit this website.
I am no longer active on Facebook or Instagram. Nor am I on Twitter. Unfortunately my social media accounts were compromised and I have shut down all social media for the time being and I am sorry to have lost all my followers. However, one can join me on goodreads dot com and author updates will continue on that platform. It all works out for the better, no worries, less screen time for my eyes.

Birthday Girl Comes Alive!
Birthday Girl comes alive and makes an international debut at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival!
Danish Film Director Michael Noer debuts his film BIRTHDAY GIRL on American soil during the 39th Film Festival February 7 -17th, 2024.
A whistleblowing film about the cruise industry and all that can go wrong with the unsuspecting crimes and behaviours that can take place at sea which are often swept under the radar. When cruise ships sail on international waters, there is no POLICE to protect oneself when something goes awry.
L.C.Tang was spotted at the debut of the film and makes an appearance coming alive as the once "REAL Birthday Girl" as in Chapter 1 of publication "The Untold Tales of a Sailor at Sea". Such is the parallel of the film and L.C.Tang opening chapter one with her being the birthday girl who escapes to sea from a mundane life on land.
Actress Trine Dyrholm, who plays the mother in the film, navigates to try and find justice for her assaulted daughter. A similar correlation to chapter one titled “Happy Birthday”, the assaulted victim, L.C.Tang is left alone to survive the trenches of the cruise industry after her own horrifying ordeal. Does L.C. ever find justice or vindication?

Italy has been a long standing partner with the maritime industry as Fincantieri designs and builds merchant vessels, passenger ships, offshore, and naval vessels, and is also active in the conversion and ship repair sectors. The company also owned Grandi Motori Trieste, which constructed marine diesel engines, but this was sold to Wärtsilä in 1999. Founded in 1959 as Società Finanziaria Cantieri Navali – Fincantieri S.p.A. as a State financial holding company, the company became a separate entity in 1984.
Fincantieri employs a staff of about 10,000 workers at eight shipyards, two design centres, one research centre and two production sites for mechanical components. Another 10,000 people contribute to its supply chains. Italy has over 25 ports of call for ships to dock.

Seafarers Keep our Economy Afloat
The Mission to Seafarers provides help and support to the 1.89 million crewmen and women who face danger every day to keep our global economy afloat. Seafarers are responsible for transporting over 90% of the worlds goods, fuels and including visitors and tourists to the shores of each continent.
Cruises represent one of the main segments of the leisure travel and tourism sector, operating in many regions across the globe, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Pacific Ocean. In 2022, the cruise industry revenue worldwide amounted to nearly 19 billion U.S. dollars, rising significantly compared to the first two years of the global pandemic but remaining below pre-pandemic levels. The United States, with its long coastlines and access to many nearby ports in the tropical Caribbean Sea, is the world’s leader in cruise revenue.
The Mission to Seafarers work tirelessly day and night for 365 days per year, the Mission is on call providing help for seafarers in over 200 ports around the world. Seafarers need our help because they are often working in dangerous conditions, with no one else to turn to. Our Port Chaplains send us stories about the sea men and women they support, and we tailor our help to each and every one of them.
Women make up less than 2% of the global workforce at sea. More visible, one might suppose, as they stand out from the men. But that is not the case. Rather, all too often they live a hidden life, with few or no peers to ‘see’ what is really going on. And when they suffer abuse, that abuse can go unseen.
Sexual harassment and intimidation sit alongside the common stresses of the seafaring life for many women on ships, where they are made to feel unwelcome by some shipboard colleagues or are actively antagonised or targeted with hostility by others.
This publication The Untold Tales of a Sailor at Sea illustrates the first hand experiences of such challenges women and seafarers encounter at sea. The collective voices of worldwide seafarers are heard in this moving publication.

June 25th is known worldwide as the DAY OF THE SEAFARER in the maritime industry. To honor seafarers and their contributions to global trade, the United Nations has designated June 25th as International Day of the Seafarer. The day is a time to celebrate seafarers, their dedication and sacrifices.
Every year on June 25th, the Day of the Seafarer recognizes the valuable contribution seafarers make to international trade and the world economy. Seafarers regularly travel by sea and are commonly called sailors. Many seafarers work in the shipping industry and are responsible for about 90 percent of world trade.
Happy National Maritime Day!
National Maritime Day is a time-honored tradition that recognizes one of America's most important industries. Each year, ceremonies and celebrations throughout the country celebrate on May 22nd. The Congress, by joint resolution approved May 20, 1933, has desginated May 22 of each year as National Maritime Day to commemorate the first transoceanic voyage by steamship by the S.S. Savannha. On National Maritime Day, we honor the thousands of dedicated merchant mariners who serve on United States vessels around the world. During times of both peace and war, merchant mariners are always there — stepping up to transport equipment, troops, and goods across the globe to make our country safer and stronger.
World Maritime Day is celebrated and recognized by the UN on September 28th. Thank a seafarer today as they not only make sacrifices but also bring goods to the shores of each continent.

The IMO International Day for Women in Maritime is observed on 18 May every year. The day celebrates women in the industry and is intended to promote the recruitment, retention and sustained employment of women in the maritime sector, raise the profile of women in maritime, strengthen IMO's commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 (gender equality) and support work to address the current gender imbalance in maritime. IMO Member States, the maritime industry, and all others in the maritime endeavour are invited to promote and celebrate the International Day for Women in Maritime in an appropriate and meaningful manner.

This year's observance will be celebrated on September 29th, 2022 and its parallel event is expected to be held in South Africa.
World Maritime Day is celebrated annually to provide an opportunity to focus attention on the importance of shipping and other maritime activities and to emphasize a particular aspect of the work of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
Many people do not realize that more than 80% of the world’s global trade is transported through international shipping. That means that most of the consumer goods that enter business and homes all over the world were shipped to get there. As the most affordable and efficient form of transportation for goods, maritime activity continues to be a vital part of the world’s trade industry.
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) began its development in 1948 as a specialized agency of the United Nations. Taking some time to get established, the organization then entered into force on March 17, 1958. At its beginning, the IMO had only 21 member states who took part, which is a large contrast to the present day when it now boasts more than 160 members.

June 25th is known worldwide as the DAY OF THE SEAFARER in the maritime industry. To honor seafarers and their contributions to global trade, the United Nations has designated June 25th as International Day of the Seafarer. The day is a time to celebrate seafarers, their dedication and sacrifices. Every year on June 25th, the Day of the Seafarer recognizes the valuable contribution seafarers make to international trade and the world economy. Seafarers regularly travel by sea and are commonly called sailors. Many seafarers work in the shipping industry and are responsible for about 90 percent of world trade.

CONVICTION
Do you recall the last time your mind or heart was convicted? What would you do if you were in such a situation where you were desperate to fill your stomach or thirsty for water or in a situation of temptation?
Examples of situations penned do not match up with Christian or some religious values. These tales were purposely included (not all my own personal experiences but things I witnessed) to demonstrate that people will always struggle with conviction in their heart and mind as this is human nature.
The protagonist's thoughts of conviction about contraband and some examples of the lifestyle choices in the cruising industry are depicted so that some of the worldwide seafarers lives would be illustrated. Moreover, such incidents penned would hopefully elicit readers to have a better understanding of what an individual just might do when desparate for food and water.
